Our outstanding level of resident satisfaction is reflected in the
positive testimonials we receive on a regular basis.

Our family would like to extended our deepest gratitude to Mary Matthews for the level of care and kindness she showed my father. Even with the language barrier, she treated him with such warmth and always with a smile that he felt safe and supported. It gave us great comfort knowing he was in her hands when we could not be there.

We are especially grateful for the equipment she arranged for him; she did more than she had to, and it will help him greatly. Because of her dedication, he recovered quickly and was able to come home before the holidays. For this, our family is truly thankful.

I visited my son-in-law where he is treated with kindness, and the place is always spotless thanks to Frank. This is the 2nd family member there, so I am familiar with Oakwood.

My mother passed away a little over one year ago so it has taken me time to write this review but I owe it to the incredible humans at Oakwood. The nurse, the aides, the coordinating staff, everyone was magnificent in how they worked with my mother for over 8 years. I have to say that the single hardest part of the mourning process was to go and pick up her things and hugging Fran (her nurse) good-bye. Just remembering it brings tears to my eyes. Oakwood was my mother’s home and what a gift it was after so many struggles with her dementia. When my mother came to Oakwood, she was on the verge of hospice care, but the love that these people gave her, combined with their attention, gifted us another 8 years with her. What a blessing they are to all of the families lucky enough to get their elders there.

Hats off to Oakwood forever.

I want to applaud and thank Lee, who works in the dining room on Sundays she is a wonderful asset to Oakwood. Lee is positive, compassionate, loving and kind… there are not enough kind and thoughtful worded to describe her!

Thank you, Oakwood for having employees like Lee!

On Sunday, May 18, I visited my dearest friend Gladys at Oakwood. She’d only been a resident there for one week, but, she was so very happy and just overjoyed at being a resident of Oakwood! If she’s happy, I’m happy for her!

The manner in which the nurse, who was at the receptionist desk, warmly greeted me set the bar high for my visit; thereafter, every staff member I encountered, individually and collectively, maintained that level of service! Everyone was friendly, polite and courteously answered my questions w/o hesitation! I joined Gladys and her half-brother Thomas in the dining room during lunch, she enjoyed her meal and when I asked what she’d do later after I left, Gladys said there were activities she could participate in and sometimes she visits the bird room and listens to their chatter and songs. She enthusiastically told me she loves the brightness of Oakwood and appreciates the therapists and how much they’ve helped her in the one week since she’s been a resident. I reiterate, if Gladys is overjoyed, I’m equally so for her!
